GLOW at Sydney Zoo is back and better than ever, bringing a night of entertainment and fun to Western Sydney’s Wawarawarry country in Eastern Creek. The festival is a dazzling display of light and creativity, featuring 70 giant lanterns and luminous light sculptures, carnival games, and a Ferris wheel.

Megan Ezzy said Sydney Zoo did an excellent job bringing people to Western Sydney. “We haven’t been to the zoo during the day yet, even though we live very locally, so we want to do that, but it’s good to see it at night as well.”

While GLOW is bringing some colour to Western Sydney’s nightlife, they’re also proudly supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities. They have teamed up with William Buck Accounting to host a charity evening for over 2000 children and their families from Ronald Mcdonald House to enjoy a memorable night.

Initiatives like GLOW increase opportunities for tourism in Western Sydney. Tourism plays a vital role in Western Sydney’s development and success and is a crucial contributor to the NSW economy, bringing in over $4.2 billion in the last ten years.

Janet Green, a local from Western Sydney, said, “I was surprised how many installations there are; I had a bit of a look online, but to see it in person is a different thing. It’s great; it’s been really good.”

Sydney Zoo has extended the event for an additional two weeks, concluding on Saturday, the 17th of June.
